What types of food should I feed my senior dog/cat?

Before making any drastic changes to your pet’s diet (or other aspects of their health) it’s best to seek the advice of your veterinarian. That being said, it is generally a good idea to give older pets softer foods that are easy to chew, which will be more gentle on their weakening teeth and jaw muscles. How much exercise should a senior pet get?

A total of 30 minutes of physical activity is usually enough for most older dogs, cats and other pets. Walks, swimming and other low-impact activities easy on their joints are the best options. It may also be a good idea to invest in some brain-stimulating toys and games, to keep them sharp and engaged.
